Description
The King's Arms Hotel, located at 15 High Street in Lochmaben, is a hotel building that likely dates from the mid-19th century and underwent alterations in 1912. It features two low storeys and three asymmetrical bays, although it is spaced for four. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins.
At the ground level, there are two doors and two windows, with the public bar situated on the left and the main hotel entrance located in the inner bay. The windows are sash style throughout, with plate glass on the ground floor and a four-pane glazing pattern on the first floor. A sign reading 'King's Arms Hotel' is set into the wall. The building has straight skews, corniced end stacks, and is roofed with uniform slates. Additionally, there is a long plain rear wing.
