Description

5 and 7 High Street in Lochmaben is a mid-19th century building featuring two storeys. The ground floor has a long shop front that is likely original. On the first floor, there are four sash windows, each with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The building is lined with ashlar stone and has contrasting painted ashlar margins. It includes an eaves course, skews, and two axial stacks, although it may have originally had three. The roof is covered with graded slates, and there is a gabled rear wing.
