Bruce Arms Public House, 3 Castle Street, Lochmaben

The Bruce Arms Public House, located at 3 Castle Street in Lochmaben, is an earlier 19th century building that has undergone some alterations. It stands two storeys high and features three bays, with a public bar on the ground floor. The exterior is harled, accented by painted ashlar margins.

The central entrance consists of a modern two-leaf door topped with a decorative fanlight and a consoled segmental pediment. Above this, there is a plain wallhead pediment with an apex stack. To the left of the entrance, there is a door and a bipartite window. The building also has sash windows, which may have either plate glass or a four-pane glazing pattern. The roof is finished with graded slates and features straight skews and corniced end stacks.
