Description
The Tam O' Shanter Inn, located at 117 Queensberry Street in Dumfries, is an early 19th-century building. It is two stories tall and features five bays, although the ground floor openings have been altered. The inn includes a public house, with a pend to the left that has been widened at the front, featuring a door to the public house set at a canted angle. The exterior is finished in painted ashlar, and there is a wide name fascia between the floors. The ground floor has modern glazing, while the first floor is adorned with sash windows that have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The building has straight skews, a rebuilt northern end stack, and a slate roof.
