Description
The Royal Bar is an early 19th century, two-storey public house located on a corner site at 2-4 St Germain Street in Catrine. The building is harled with painted ashlar dressings, featuring quoin strips and a base course. The first floor windows are positioned hard under the eaves. The north elevation has five irregular bays, which include two corniced doors and two blind windows on the first floor. There is a single bay return to Mill Square. The ground floor has plate glass windows with grilles, while the first floor features timber sash and case plate glass windows. The roof is piended at the corner, covered with grey slates, and there are brick stacks rendered to the south.
