Description

The Rob Roy Public House, located at 63-65 Queensberry Street in Dumfries, dates from the late 18th century. This three-storey building features three bays and serves as a public house on the ground floor, which is beneath a continuous fascia. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar.

The public house windows are positioned on either side of an off-centre door, which has a projecting sign above it; the door is located to the left. The sash windows have plate glass on the first floor, with a 12-pane glazing pattern above. Additional architectural details include an eaves and lintel band, a cornice, and end stacks that have been rebuilt in brick. The roof is modern and covered with tiles.
