Description
150 High Street in Dumfries is a mid to late 18th century tenement building that features late 20th century additions to Nos 144-148, which were completed in 1987. The structure is three stories tall and has a near symmetrical design with five bays on the front and two bays on the side, accommodating shops on the ground floor and generously spaced window openings. The building is constructed of brick and concrete, with smooth dressings and painted cills. Number 150 is painted, while the other parts of the building are rendered. It has a corniced eaves course and two windows on the first floor that include narrow side lights facing High Street. There is a two-bay return to Queensberry Square that features a datestone from 1987.
The windows are predominantly four-pane timber sash and case style. The roof is slate, sloping to the south, and includes two large ridge stacks.
