Description

12 and 14 Church Crescent in Dumfries were built around 1830 and consist of two blocks arranged at an angle to follow the curve of the street. The buildings are three storeys high with attics and feature shops on the ground floor, which have fascias that extend to the first-floor cill course. The exterior is made of droved red ashlar stone. The windows are sash style, with plate glass on the first floor and a 12-pane glazing pattern on the second floor. There is a band course between the upper floors and a string course at the second-floor cill level. The buildings also have a single bipartite dormer and end stacks, topped with a slate roof.
