Description

The Robert Burns Statue, located at Church Place in Dumfries, was likely sculpted in Carrara from a model created by Mrs. D. O. Hill of Edinburgh. It was unveiled by Lord Rosebery on April 6, 1882. The statue is made of Carrara marble and stands on a grey ashlar pedestal featuring a triglyph frieze and marble inscription panels on its sides.
