Description

Dalveen, located at 10 High Street in Lochmaben, is a building dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is two storeys high and has two bays. The exterior is harled with painted ashlar margins. The entrance features a modern door with a rectangular fanlight, set behind a porch supported by Ionic columns. The building has sash windows, with bipartite windows inserted at the ground floor. The first-floor windows have a 4-pane glazing pattern. There is an eaves and lintel band that continues the arrangement seen at 6 High Street. The building has end stacks and is roofed with graded slates. At the rear, there is a long, low building that opens into a court behind 6 High Street.
