Description

Built mainly in early 19th century. Farmhouse with steading.

All whitewashed rubble and ashlar dressings, roofs covered

mostly with graded slates.

House: closes farm court at S; 2 storeys, 5 (2+3) bays, 2 W

bays not original; mid 19th century porch central on original

house. Modern glazing; end stacks; rear wing and outshots to

courtyard.

Steading: relatively unaltered, and arranged as 2 L-plan

blocks, separated at N by driveway. Tall barn at E, cartshed

with loft in lower returning range; other block mainly single

storey.
