Description

Early to earlier 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay cottage (former school). Painted rubble. Later brick wing adjoined at ridge level to W.

E ELEVATION: gabled brick porch adjoined at centre; panelled door to N and window to E and S. Window to right and close by porch to left.

N ELEVATION: window to right. Rubble buttress to left and right.

S ELEVATION: rubble lean-to adjoined to left, extended to right in brick; semicircular-headed "peat hole" to left to S; panelled door with fanlight to W; window to E.

W ELEVATION: wing adjoined at centre; window to N; 2 windows to W. Flat-roofed brick addition adjoined to right, in re-entrant angle formed by wing; window to W, and door and 2 windows to S; glazed porch adjoined to S, in re-entrant angle formed by lean-to.

4-pane glazing in sash and case windows; fixed glazing in peat hole. Rendered gablehead stacks to N and S, painted brick to W. Purple slates. 3 rooflights to E pitch.
