Description
Earlier to mid 19th century with later addition. Single storey with attic, 3-bay picturesque estate cottage (former school) with gabled porch to front; single storey, part-glazed addition at rear. Harl-pointed rubble whinstone; droved cream sandstone dressings. Overhanging timber bracketed eaves; droved quoins; droved long and short surrounds to openings; projecting cills (painted to front). Boarded timber cladding to porch gablehead.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: boarded timber door off-set to right of centre; 2-pane fanlight; gabled porch to front with paired timber columns, overhanging bracketed eaves, tapering, ball-capped finial. Single windows at ground in bays to outer left and right; gabled dormers aligned above.
NE (SIDE) ELEVATION: single window at ground off-set to right of centre. Single storey addition recessed to outer right.
Predominantly 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; brick apex stacks with paired flues; single circular can to SW. Cast-iron rainwater goods.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
