Description

Dated 1783 (?) with later repairs and alterations. Single-arched humped bridge spanning Lambden Burn. Squared coping to pointed rubble sandstone walls; cream sandstone dressings. Recessed segmental arches to outer elevations; cream sandstone voussoirs; raised keystones (inscribed 'AD 1783 (?)' to SE, weathered to NW); prominent sandstone corbels beneath surmounting parapets. Buttress to NE. Splayed walls at either end (differing lengths and extended to S); squat circular-plan piers.
