Description
The War Memorial in Old Minnigaff, Minnigaff, dates from around 1919 and is designed in the form of an obelisk. It is made of polished granite and features a three-tier chamfered plinth and a corniced pedestal. The obelisk is truncated and has an embossed Latin cross on the west face, topped with a festooned urn. The west face of the pedestal is inscribed with the words "In memory of the gallant men of the parish of Minnigaff who fell in the Great War 1914-1918," while the other three faces display the names of those commemorated. The west face of the pedestal base includes the inscription "And of those who fell in the World War 1939-1945," along with additional names.
