Description

Minnigaff Mill is a four-storey former corn mill built in 1823, which was converted to residential use in 1992. The building is constructed of rubble with squared granite quoins and rybats, featuring chequered quoins at the southeast angle. The third floor has smaller square windows.

On the east elevation, there are approximately four bays arranged in a 1-2-1 pattern. A modern door is positioned out of line to the right bay, just left of center. The fenestration is regularly arranged, except for some windows that are out of line on the left at the ground floor and on either side of the first floor in the bay to the left of center.

The south elevation has a window on each floor to the right of center.

The west elevation, prior to conversion in 1991, also has four bays in a 1-2-1 arrangement. The second and third floors feature regularly disposed fenestration, while the first floor has three irregularly arranged windows and the ground floor has five irregularly arranged windows. There is an area of rubble-faced and stugged granite in the bay to the left of center, which was the original location of the water wheel. A stone inscribed "I B 1823" is located at the ground floor in the bay to the right of center.

On the north elevation, there are windows to the right of center at the ground, first, and second floors. The glazing varies, with some small-pane glazing, including 12-pane sash and case windows, 6-pane glazing on the upper floor, and some tilt-and-turn windows. The roof is covered with graded grey slates and features a piended design. There is also a piend-roofed single-storey former workshop range to the southeast, which was converted to residential use in 1992.
