Description
This signpost, located at the junction of the A702 and B729 in Kirkland, is likely from the inter-war period and has had later extensions added to its arms. It features a painted cast-iron structure with three arms. The post is tapered and painted in black and white stripes, with a faceted lower half and a cylindrical upper half. It includes ring shafts, a ball finial, and a small shield that displays the raised letters "DCC." The arms of the signpost are made of white-painted cast iron with black raised lettering and black-painted edges, and there are later extensions at the ends of the arms indicating road numbers.
