Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey corner block (now 2 houses)

with shop. Altered. Whitewashed render, lined as ashlar, with contrasting painted ashlar margins. North west angle canted

at ground, with 2-leaf shop door; corbelled to square above.

4-bay (west) elevation to Keir Road: originally 3 bays

(additional bay to South later 20th century) with shaped

central wall-head gable with apex stack; 2 shop windows

(centre window originally a door?), door and window in right

bay; sympathetic 4th bay; 1st floor windows all sashes, with

8-pane glazing.

Gabled elevation to Main Street also includes shop window;

(?late 19th century full-height single bay addition to east

continued full length of building later 20th century, with

main roof swept over. Original end stacks; roofed with graded

slates.
