34, 33, 35 Market Square, Stonehaven

34, 33, and 35 Market Square in Stonehaven is an earlier 19th-century, altered, two-storey and attic, three-bay terraced dwelling with a shop on the ground floor, located on a corner site. The building is rendered and painted, featuring ashlar margins and bracketed, corniced fascias.

On the southeast corner elevation, there is a chamfered angle with a vertically-boarded two-leaf timber door, which is chamfered at the angle and mitred to a square at the first floor.

The south principal elevation has a bay to the left on the ground floor, which includes a deep-set shop door and a fixed display window under a fascia. There is another shop door in the center and a display window to the outer right, also under a fascia. At the first floor, there are three regularly spaced windows close to the eaves, and above, two polygonal-roofed canted dormer windows flank a tiny rooflight.

The east elevation, facing Allardice Street, features a two-bay gabled design with the bays grouped to the right. It has a shop door and an adjacent display window on the ground floor under a fascia, along with two windows at the first floor.

The windows are made of plate glass in timber sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are rebuilt brick stacks with some cans. The building has ashlar-coped skews with block skewputts, and cast-iron downpipes with a decorative rainwater hopper located to the right on the east elevation.
