Description
31 and 33 Allardice Street is a terraced dwelling that likely dates back to before 1823. It is two stories high with an attic and features two bays. The building is constructed from large blocks of squared and coursed red sandstone rubble, accented with ashlar margins.
On the principal elevation, there is a modern shop on the right side at ground level. This shop includes a deep-set part-glazed timber door with a plate glass fanlight above it, flanked by fixed display windows, and another door on the outer left. The first floor has two windows, while above, there is a canted dormer window on the right and a modern rooflight on the left.
The glazing is non-traditional, and the roof is covered with grey slates. The building features coped ashlar stacks with cans.
