Description
Albury is an early 19th century single-storey cottage, which may have originally been two separate cottages. It features a 2-bay addition to the south with a basement and has a datestone from 1831. The building has been combined into one 6-bay house and is constructed of stugged ashlar, which is whitewashed with contrasting painted margins.
The front of the cottage has an off-centre 2-leaf panelled door topped by a 3-pane fanlight. There are sash windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern, a blocked narrow doorway, and three piended canted dormers. The roof has straight skews and end stacks, and it is covered with slate. There are railings to the right above the basement window. Additionally, there is a slightly taller former outbuilding at the rear, which adjoins the southeast angle of the cottage.
