Description
Bridge House is an early 19th century building, originally two cottages that have been combined into a single dwelling. It is constructed of rubble with tooled and margined quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof with coped gables and stepped, corniced ashlar stacks. The building has two storeys and three windows. A boarded door with a three-pane fanlight is located in an alternating surround, with a later wooden porch attached to the left of centre. The windows are 12-pane sashes, with tooled lintels and sills; the central first-floor sash has been renewed. A 12-pane sash with a tooled and margined lintel and sill is visible on the left return. The right return has two blocked first-floor openings. The rear elevation features a narrow stair window on the first floor, as well as two blocked openings.
