Description

Newbrough Bridge, located at the west end of the village over Newbrough Burn, was built in 1839. It features tooled and margined ashlar stonework. The bridge has a segmental arch with a band above it. The parapets have arched coping that flares out at each end to low rectangular piers, which are carried down the external walls as pilasters. There is a date panel on the internal face of the north parapet, which includes an ordnance survey benchmark below it.
