6 Rosefield Place, Edinburgh

6 Rosefield Place is a house built around 1880, with some later alterations. It is a single-storey building with a basement and has a square plan with three bays. The front is made of droved ashlar, while the side elevations and rear are constructed from rubble. It features a base course, a cornice, and a blocking course.

On the southwest (principal) elevation, there are three steps leading up to a panelled door located in the center, with a rectangular fanlight above made of plate glass. Each of the flanking bays has a full-height canted window.

The northeast (rear) elevation includes a window in the left bay. The principal elevation has plate glass timber sash and case windows, while the rear features 4-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is slate with a piended design and a platform at the apex, along with a skylight. There are slate-hung dormers on the rear. The building has rubble and coped wallhead stacks on the northwest, northeast, and southeast sides.

The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1994. The boundary walls include a rendered wall with coping on the southwest side, a tall rubble garden wall with ashlar coping on the northwest side, and a tall rubble garden wall on the northeast side.
