9 Rosefield Place, Portobello, Edinburgh

9 Rosefield Place is an early 19th-century classical house with later alterations and additions. It is a single storey building with a half-basement and features three bays. The exterior is finished in droved ashlar with polished dressings, while the side elevations are harled, and there is an extension at the rear. A band course runs between the ground and half-basement levels, and there are cornices and a blocking course, along with moulded architraves.

On the northeast (principal) elevation, there are four steps leading up to a panelled Edinburgh door at the center, which is topped by a plate glass rectangular fanlight. To the right, there is a window with stained glass internal glazing in the upper section. To the left, a later tripartite window also features stained glass internal glazing in the upper sections.

The southwest (rear) elevation is not fully visible, but it includes a central extension. The building has plate glass timber sash and case windows, and the roof is slate piended with rendered and coped wallhead stacks on the side elevations.

The boundary walls are constructed of bull-faced render with coping.
