11 Rosefield Place, Portobello, Edinburgh

11 Rosefield Place is a house from the early 19th century that has seen later additions and alterations. It is a single-storey building with a half-basement and features three bays. The exterior is made of droved ashlar with polished dressings, while the side elevation and rear extension are harled. There is a band course beneath the ground floor level, along with a cornice and blocking course, and the windows have moulded architraves.

On the northeast (principal) elevation, there are four steps leading up to a panelled Edinburgh door in the centre, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight made of plate glass. The flanking bays contain windows.

The southwest (rear) elevation includes an extension at the bay to the left and left of centre. The windows throughout are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roof is slate with a piended design, and the left of centre extension also has a piended roof, while the extension at the bay to the left has a slant roof. There are brick and coped wallhead stacks on the side elevations.

The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1994. The boundary walls are harled and coped, with rubble on the northwest side.
