3 Rosefield Place, Portobello, Edinburgh

3 Rosefield Place is an early 19th-century classical house that has undergone later alterations and additions. It is a single-storey building with a half-basement and features three bays. The front is constructed of droved ashlar with polished dressings, while the side elevations are made of rubble. There is a band course between the basement and ground levels, along with a cornice and blocking course, and the windows have moulded architraves.

The principal elevation is asymmetrical, with the bays arranged to the right of centre. There are four steps leading up to a panelled door with original plain cast-iron handrails, which has a brass handle and fittings. Above the door is a rectangular fanlight made of plate glass. The flanking bays contain windows, each featuring 20th-century stained glass in the upper sections.

The rear elevation has not been seen since 1994 and includes an extension to the outer left bay. The windows throughout the building are timber sash and case with plate glass. The roof is slate with a piended design, and the side elevations have droved ashlar and coped wallhead stacks.

The boundary walls are made of rubble with coping at the front.
