11 Rosefield Avenue, Portobello, Edinburgh

11 Rosefield Avenue is an early 19th-century single-storey house with a basement at the rear, featuring ventilation holes on the main elevation. It has three bays and is part of a larger terrace, with a slightly recessed bay to the right next to No 13. The exterior is made of finely droved ashlar with polished ashlar dressings, while the rear is constructed from rubble. There is a band course between the ground floor and ground level, a moulded impost course above the window lintels, and a cornice with a blocking course. The openings are set in segmental-arched recesses.

On the northwest (principal) elevation, there are four steps leading to a central panelled door, which has an original cast-iron handrail and a rectangular plate glass fanlight above. Windows are located in the flanking bays. To the outer right, there is a flush panelled door at ground level set into a recessed wall, accompanied by a moulded string course, cornice, and blocking course.

The southeast (rear) elevation is not fully visible and has no extensions noted since 1994. The principal elevation features plate glass timber windows, and the roof is slate with a piended design. There are harled/rendered and coped wallhead stacks to the northeast and southwest.

The interior was not seen in 1994. The boundary walls are made of droved ashlar with coping.
