Description

Circa 1820, possibly by Gillespie Graham. Possibly built as school and schoolhouse. Built close onto street, 2-storey, 3-bay house with gable to road and 2 single storey, 1-bay wings with swept eaves to road, steeply pitched to rear. Harled, raised margins covered in concrete.

E ELEVATION: central 4-panelled door with 2-pane strip fanlight and small timber pediment above, simple bracketed doorpiece over. Windows flanking at ground floor, 2 windows at 1st floor in outer bays, wings each with single window at ground floor. Blind gable ends to N and S. All glazing modern, 2-pane tilt windows. Red pantiles, ashlar coped skews, square central stack to house, harled with simple ashlar cope. Rubble coped rubble walls to rear garden.
