6 Claverhouse Drive, Edinburgh

6 Claverhouse Drive is a villa built around 1878. It is a single storey and attic structure over a basement, constructed from squared and coursed ashlar with polished ashlar dressings, a cornice, and a blocking course. The villa features timber sash and case windows, along with a dormer in the attic that has plate glass. The roof is piended and covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar wallhead stacks topped with cornices and moulded cans.

The front elevation has a consoled, pedimented doorpiece that breaks the eaves at the center. Above the six-panelled door, there is a date cipher in a moulded panel and a broad letterbox fanlight. To the right, there are bipartite windows, and to the left, there is another window. A large central canted timber dormer in the attic features a segmentally arched, consoled pediment above the center light.

The boundary walls consist of a low ashlar coped coursed rubble wall along the road, with a cast- and wrought iron gate.
