Forth View, 18 East Terrace, High Street, South Queensferry

Forth View, located at 18 East Terrace on High Street in South Queensferry, is a building that dates from the later 18th century but was reconstructed from a 17th century dwelling house. It has three stories and an irregular three-window front, with the first and second floors not aligned with the ground floor bays. The exterior is made of rubble with painted margins and features a base course, along with a close entrance at the far left.

On the north elevation, there is an architraved doorway with flanking windows at the ground floor, while the openings above are blocked. The first and second floors have regular three-bay fenestration. The east elevation is adjacent to another building. The south elevation is rendered and painted, featuring a ground and first-floor extension with a stair leading to the first floor, and has irregular fenestration. The west elevation is also adjacent to another building.

The first floor has 12-pane sash and case windows, while the rest of the windows have modern glazing. The roof is slate with straight skews, and there is a rendered stack on the east gablehead and a rubble stack on the west gablehead. The interior was not seen in 2000.
