Description
16 East Terrace and Camperdown is a later 18th century, two-storey and attic, three-bay dwelling house located on High Street in South Queensferry. The building features coursed rubble with raised and painted margins, and has relieving arches above the ground floor windows.
On the north (principal) elevation, there is a central doorpiece with an architrave and cornice, accompanied by a four-light fanlight and flanking windows. The upper floor has regular fenestration, with three gablet dormers in the attic.
The east elevation is an adjoining building. The south elevation includes a single-storey adjoining building on the left bay, with a door and window in the right bay at the first floor, a forestair, and a window at ground level. There are two piended dormers in the attic and a central attic light.
The west elevation is also an adjoining building. The property has modern glazing, with sash and case windows at the first floor being modern replacements. The roof is slate with straight skews and slim ashlar stacks at the gable heads. The interior was not seen in 2000.
