Forbes Gardens, East Terrace, High Street, South Queensferry

Forbes Gardens is a later 19th century single storey and attic dwelling house with three bays. It is constructed from square and snecked rubble, featuring ashlar margins and dressings.

The north elevation, which is the principal facade, has two large windows on the ground floor and an entrance to a close on the right. Above, there are three piended dormer windows in the attic, with the right-hand pair linked by a wallhead stack.

The east elevation is an adjoining building. The south elevation includes a single storey projecting bow extension with two large windows. The west elevation is also an adjoining building.

The house has modern sash and case windows, with the upper sash having eight panes and the lower sash having two panes. It is topped with a grey slate roof and features large wallhead stacks at both the front and rear.
