16 Montgomery Street, East Kilbride

16 Montgomery Street is a mid-18th century, two-storey, six-bay dwelling house with squared and snecked rubble construction. It features a later single-storey addition at the front and a later extension at the rear.

On the southwest elevation, there are single windows in the left bay at both the ground and first floors. A timber door is located in the second bay at ground level, with a blind window above it. The third bay has single windows at both levels, while the fourth bay has another timber door at ground level, also with a blind window above. The single-storey addition, identified as No. 16, includes a door and two windows in the fifth and sixth bays, with single windows in the same bays at the first floor.

The northwest elevation is blind, while the northeast elevation features a two-storey extension. The southeast elevation adjoins another building. The house has six-pane glazing, a slate roof with straight skews, and a rebuilt stack with four cans at the northwest gablehead.
