3 Montgomery Street, East Kilbride

5 Montgomery Street in East Kilbride is an early 19th century building, likely incorporating earlier materials. It consists of a two-storey and attic structure featuring a six-bay row of two dwelling houses. The exterior is made of squared and snecked rubble with ashlar margins around the windows.

On the east elevation, there are prominent doorways in the second and fifth bays. These doorways are framed by pilasters, an entablature, a pediment, and double panelled doors, all painted black, with a single-pane fanlight above. Each doorway is flanked by single windows, with additional windows located above on the first floor.

The south elevation has a single window in the left bay at the first floor, and a bow link is attached to the left bay at ground level. The west elevation features a single window in the second bay from the right at ground level and another single window in the second bay from the left at the first floor. The north elevation includes a single window in the right bay at ground level and one in the left bay at the first floor.

The building has 4-pane sash and case windows, a grey slate roof with straight skews, bracketed eaves at the gable ends, and coped stacks at the wallheads.

Inside, the building has been converted for public use. The ground floor includes toilet facilities and a creche, while a large hall is located upstairs.
