Description

9 Montgomery Street is an 18th-century, two-storey, two-bay dwelling house constructed from squared and snecked rubble with raised cills.

The entrance elevation features a central door topped with a moulded cornice, flanked by two windows on the right and one window on the left. The first floor has four windows that are regularly spaced.

On the south elevation, which faces Kirk Wynd, there is a small attic window. The rear elevation includes a modern single-storey L-plan range extension and features two box-dormer windows in the attic.

The north elevation adjoins another building. The house has modern sash and case windows, a slate roof with crowstepped skews, and a rebuilt coped stack at the left gablehead.
