14 Ladycroft, Balerno, Edinburgh

14 Ladycroft is an earlier 19th-century single-storey cottage or villa with a rectangular plan. It is constructed from stugged, squared sandstone featuring ashlar margins and dressings, with a base course, blocking course, and raised quoins.

The northwest elevation has three symmetrical bays. At the center, there is a rusticated door surround that is advanced, containing a modern door and a plate glass fanlight, with windows flanking either side.

The southeast elevation also has three bays and features a flat-roofed porch addition that is advanced at the penultimate bay to the right, with a door located at the right return. To the left of the porch, there is a square dormer with two windows, and to the right, there are two roof lights.

The main elevation has uPVC 12-pane sash and case windows, while the rear elevations also feature 12-pane sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate and has ashlar coping at the skews, along with corniced apex stacks, one of which is a replacement with circular cans.

Surrounding the garden to the northwest is a high rubble boundary wall with semicircular coping.
