Description

The bandstand in the public park of Brechin was built in 1908 by Walter MacFarlane & Co, founders based in Glasgow. It is an octagonal structure made of cast iron, raised on an ashlar base. The bandstand features intricately detailed columns, parapets, and spandrels, along with a cornice that has acroteria. It is topped with a bold bell-cast roof covered in zinc and lead, and a tall finial completes the design.
