Description
The gateway at the cemetery in Brechin, dating from around 1856 and attributed to John Henderson, features a large semi-circular arch positioned between two rusticated piers. The arch has open spandrels and is topped by a thin entablature that includes a phoenix rising from flames along with the inscription "Resurgam." This structure is set within a hemicycle formed by flanking monoliths and lintels, with four metal gates on each side, all situated between rusticated end piers.
