28 Panmure Street, Brechin

28 Panmure Street in Brechin is a building dating from around 1840. It is two storeys high with an attic and features stugged ashlar stonework. The front elevation facing Panmure Street has three windows, while there is a one-window quadrant corner and a one-window gable facing Bank Street. The central door is topped with a rectangular fanlight and flanked by anta pilasters and an entablature. The windows on the front and quadrant are architraved, with the ground floor windows having cornices and blocking courses. There are string courses at the first floor cill level, a main cornice, and a blocking course, along with a deep panelled parapet above the quadrant. A canted dormer is present on the roof, which is slated.

The rear elevation is made of rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring doors on both the ground and first floors. There is a tall stair window and a central wallhead gable that is flanked by canted dormers. An inset decorated stone adds detail to the design. Additionally, there is a two-storey back wing with a piended roof. The wall along Bank Street is constructed of snecked rubble with coping.
