Description
21-23 Panmure Street in Brechin is a double house built around 1840, featuring two stories and an attic with an ashlar front. The building has a four-window facade and central paired doorpieces that are cavetto-splayed. Number 23 has a simpler design with a plain architraved ground floor window topped with a cornice, while the upper windows are plain. Number 25 has a plain (originally moulded) architrave and cornice on the ground floor, with moulded architraves on the first floor. The gable facing the Baptist Church has moulded architraves and cornices on both floors. At the rear, there is a single-storey and attic wing built of rubble. The roof is gabled and slated, with straight skews and stuccoed brickwork chimneystacks, and each house features a single canted dormer. The original glazing remains intact.
