Description
The gateway at Mansfield Cemetery was built in 1857 and is designed in the Gothic Revival style. It is constructed from coursed squared stone and coursed rubble, with ashlar dressings. The entrance features a steep pitched gable topped with ashlar coping and a finial, along with double gables and a Celtic cross. In the gable, there is a single lancet window. The gateway itself is chamfered and has a segmental-pointed shape, complete with a hoodmould and a pair of wooden gates featuring latticework.
