Description

The stone archways at the gateway to the cemetery, dated 1866, are designed in the Gothic style. The central large arch is flanked by smaller archways, all featuring pointed heads and gables topped with poppy-head finials. There are two buttresses, each containing a statue in a niche, which is surmounted by tabernacle work and a pinnacle. The gateway is completed with three wrought iron gates.
