Description

Nunneley House is a good late 18th century house located on Bridge Street. It is built of red brick and has three storeys with three bays. The central bay slightly projects and features a Venetian window on the first storey, along with a semi-circular tripartite window above. The entrance is framed by a stuccoed Roman Doric doorcase with a pediment, a modern rectangular fanlight, and a six-fielded-panelled door. Each side bay has two windows with plain keyblocks and flat brick arches. The house has a central pediment, corbelled eaves, coped gables, and a slate roof. Inside, there is an original staircase, said to be made of rosewood, which is concealed behind modern wood painted panelling.
