Description
Drury Dam Viaduct is a former railway viaduct, now used as a footpath, built around 1875 and restored around 1989. It was likely constructed for the Midland Railway. The structure features rock-faced stone and red brick, with red brick and ashlar dressings, and includes a single cast-iron span. It has ten round arches with red brick dressings, arranged on a slight curve, spanning the River Maun. At the west end, there is a single cast-iron skew arch that spans Quarry Lane. The round arch has pierced spandrels and a panelled cast-iron parapet. On either side of the viaduct, there are pilaster buttresses, with one on the west and two on the east.
