Description
The Railway Inn Public House is a public house located on Station Street in Mansfield. It was built in the early 19th century, with a mid-19th century addition and alterations made in the late 20th century. The building features squared dressed stone at the front, which is painted, along with brick construction, a concrete tile roof, and three brick gable stacks. It stands three storeys high and has a three-window range in an L-plan layout.
The central feature of the façade is a round-arched glazing bar stair window, which is flanked by two single 16-pane sash windows. Above this, there are two 12-pane sash windows. The entrance consists of a central late 20th century door with a round head and fanlight, flanked by two single 16-pane sashes, with the left one being smaller. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that has three windows.
