2 houses, now shop and offices. Early C19, with late C19 and mid and late C20 alterations. Coursed squared stone with stone dressings and concrete tile roof and panelled brick ridge stack. Stepped eaves. 3 storeys; 3-window range. 2 margin light sashes to left and a tilting casement to right. Above, 3 tilting casements. All these windows have stone surrounds. Ground floor has a central late C20 shop front, flanked to right by an elaborate ashlar shop front, c1870. Shouldered opening with ringed square shafts and foliage capitals, and ornamented brackets to hooded fascia. Late C20 glazing and door. To left, a recessed doorway with mid C20 marble panelling and lettered fascia. Included for group value.
