Description
The coach house and attached gate piers at Berry Hill Hall date from around 1770, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof with a single brick stack on the rear wall. The building has a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, and an eaves band. It stands two storeys tall and has a three-window range.
The south front includes a central square tower that projects and is divided into three stages, with a mounting block at the base. The first floor has a single segment-headed opening, while the floor above features a smaller segment-headed opening on each face. At the top, there is an octagonal two-storey cupola with a circular clock dial on each of the major faces. Above this, there are four bell openings with louvre shutters, all capped with a leaded ogee.
At ground level, there is a doorway leading to a stone winder stair at the return angle, flanked by single boarded windows. Below, there are segment-headed carriage entrances with double plank doors. Attached to the east side are a pair of square rusticated ashlar gate piers.
