Description

Denburn Bridge in Brechin was built in 1856 by John Henderson. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings and features seven semi-circular arches that slightly widen at the approaches. The bridge has rusticated piers, voussoirs, quoins, and a parapet. Below the parapet, there is a roll moulded string course that is channelled with dies over the piers. The inside of the parapet facing the road is made of droved ashlar, and the coping is smoothly chamfered.
