Description

The bandstand in Glebe Park, Bo'Ness, was built in 1902 by Walter McFarlane & Co Saracen Foundry. This cast-iron structure is octagonal and sits on a stone base that is deeper to the north to fit the sloping site. It features slim columns with brackets that have ornate tracery, including a lute motif. The timber canopy has a decorative band around its circumference, and the roof is made of grey slate, topped with a light and delicate crown that includes a spire.
